A Project Operations Engineer is required to work on a permanent staff basis for a leading Oil & Gas company that will provide a hybrid working set up of 4 days per week in the office and 1 day per week working from home.
Tenders support
• Identify the key operations deliverables.
• Collaborate with the pursuit team, the POM and the Tender Lead to develop the operational strategy for the tender.
• As the Project Operations Engineer, you will coordinate and consolidate inputs from multiple disciplines to support the development of the operational planning.
• Improve offshore schedule and consider client constraints.
• Define requirements and produce SOW for SCM.
• Support the estimators in producing costing for all tender options.
• Define the vessels POBs and provide input to the estimators.
• Throughout the tender ensure:
o adherence to tendering procedures and processes and maintain traceability throughout the tender and post tender clarification and negotiation phases;
o adherence to operations department ways of working to organise the activities and store the tender experience for future use/handover to project team.
• As the Project Operations Engineer, you will support the Tender Lead with the preparation of presentations for gate reviews.
• Support the tender lead and region with the post submission clarifications and negotiations.
• Organise and host meetings with the disciplines to facilitate the offshore schedule review
• As the Project Operations Engineer, you will identify and constantly update the key Operations related risks and opportunities throughout the tender.
Projects support
• Prepare, review and comment Technical Documents to support operations.
• Participate on the definition of the required offshore spread.
• Liaise with SCM to select 3rd party vessels and operations related services and assets by preparing SOWs and reviewing technical offers.
• As the Project Operations Engineer, you will participate on installation feasibility reviews and HIRAs
• Provide operational input to Engineering and Planning functions.
• Vessels readiness activities.
• Review vessels POBs and organise the manning of chartered vessels with the support of Crewing.
• Ensuring that the installation spread has full support, in terms of Logistic, Transportation, Safety, & Certification etc.
• Support the development of the baseline Project schedule.
• Ensure 3rd party services cost and planning are tracked and monitored.
• Assist Engineers on vessel readiness and during mobilization & demobilization activities.
• As the Project Operations Engineer, you will plan and coordinate activities in yards and at quaysides.
• Ensure that project equipment is mobilized/demobilized in an efficient and timely fashion.
• Supervise material tracking activities and ensure equipment inspection, readiness, delivery, tracking & demobilisation.
• Liaise with the in-country team to ensure operations are planned and run efficiently.
• As the Project Operations Engineer, you will support HSE initiatives/activities to ensure that the work will be done safely and efficiently.
• Provide input to the Project Operations Debrief Report and to the lessons learnt.
What experience would we like you to have?
- Extensive offshore experience having worked onboard pipelay/construction vessels (ideally previously Field Engineer or similar).
- As the Project Operations Engineer, you will have knowledge of subsea construction and onshore fabrication recommended.
- Able to demonstrate commitment to HSE and keen to promote safe practices.
- Skilled in the co-ordination of multiple interfaces across functions.
- A strong work ethic, willing to working in highly changeable environments, meeting tight deadlines whilst delivering high quality outcomes.
- As the Project Operations Engineer, you will be committed to collaborative working in a multi-location team environment.
- Mobility to travel to all international locations for short business trips or missions.
- Good understanding of company products, activities and assets.
